David Northridge BSc MRICS
David was born and educated in Northern Ireland. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1988 while working as Assistant Estate Officer for North Devon District Council. In 1988 he opened a Barnstaple office for GA Property Services (later to become GA Professional and eventually e-Surv). In 1993 he moved to open an office in Barnstaple for Colleys Professional Services (Halifax Group). In 2001 he left Colleys to set up Abercorn Surveyors.

Iain Neale BSc (Hons) MRICS
Iain was born and educated in the Ilfracombe area of North Devon. He attended the University of the West of England, Bristol and graduated with a degree in Valuation & Estate Management. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2000 while working for Webbers Survey Department in Barnstaple. Iain specializes in Building Surveys, Valuations and Party Wall matters. He left Webbers in 2004 to join David Northridge at Abercorn Surveyors.

Richard Evans BSc MRICS

Richard was born in Solihull, West Midlands and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1984, moving to the South West in 1988. He has specialized in residential surveys and valuations since 1986, and until 2012 was working for Birmingham Midshires, of which he was Chief Valuer, then Colleys (part of Halifax and
Lloyds Banking Group), latterly as Managing Surveyor for Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. He has a wide Building Surveys throughout Somerset and Devon. Richard also carries out expert witness work and since 2013 has been a member of the Expert Surveyors Group, the only UK wide network of Experts designed
exclusively for Solicitors who need to instruct an Expert Witness Chartered Surveyor to provide an expert valuation or property report. He is also a member of ESG's Knotweed Valuation Group. He joined Abercorn Surveyors Ltd. in 2012.

Andrew Toosey BSc FRICS

Andrew is from South Devon and qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1983. He has built up a considerable technical base and understanding of construction techniques and defects. In addition, Andrew can offer wide experience of both residential and commercial buildings of all sizes, types and
ages: both modern, traditional and listed buildings. He undertakes residential Valuations, ISVA Home Surveys, full Building Survey inspections, specific defect diagnosis and reporting, schedules of condition and dilapidation. Andrew’s interests include hill walking, cycling, photography, period architecture,
industrial archaeology and antiques. He joined Abercorn Surveyors in 2017.

Alex Hillman BSc (Hons) MRICS
Alex was born and educated in North Devon. He attended the University of the West of England, Bristol and graduated with a degree in Building Surveying. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2017. Alex undertakes residential surveys and valuations for a range of different purposes. Away from work, Alex plays rugby for Bideford RFC and can often be seen hacking his way around local golf courses. He
joined Abercorn Surveyors in 2020.

Tom Martin-Jeffery MSc MRICS
Tom was born in North Devon and aside from a few years abroad, has lived in Ilfracombe for most of his life. Tom joined Abercorn Surveyors in 2018 having sought a change of career from teaching. He graduated from the University College of Estate Management with an MSc in Building Surveying and
became a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer in 2020.
Tom undertakes a range of residential surveys and valuations and has a keen interest in sustainability and older properties. He is a member of Ilfracombe Round Table and Ilfracombe Rugby Football Club.
